The warehouse was created not under the specific client, during creation of a configuration of a warehouse it was necessary to guess the necessary quantity of pallets and need of future clients. Any project should have accurately structured, organized command with the adequate project manager who will be interested in result. All project participants should be interested, it will save from slippings on elementary things. Besides, at project development it is necessary to consider all moments, beginning from calculation of the estimate, finishing with design, planning, clients … All actions it is necessary to plan and put on them time. Much attention it is necessary to pay to personnel, those employees who will support further work of a warehouse.

By the time of the beginning of our work there was a project expected intensive pallet processing with big accumulation. It was very technological, assumed the gravitational pallet systems, in a small warehouse the narrow-passage technology was planned. One of the directions of the company (except production and distribution) – pouring of soft drinks. There was an idea to transfer the razlivochny line to this warehouse, and from it on the pipeline to deliver pallets for loading in pallet gravitation.

When we got acquainted with the Customer's clients, it became clear that for their service other technologies are necessary absolutely. In the offered space it would be impossible to be engaged in distribution. The zone of shipment would be forced by the equipment which was dictated by a filling line finished goods warehouse. All this would prevent work and over time it should select – either services of safe custody, or a finished goods warehouse. Narrow passes for provision of services are not necessary, especially when there is no clarity with a flow.

As a result of joint consultations the Customer changed the concept of use of this warehouse for 180 °. The position which was taken by the director promoted that we were heard. The decision not to combine an accumulative warehouse of a filling line and a warehouse of safe custody in such small warehouse was made. It was solved will focus only on a warehouse of safe custody, with universal shirokoprokhodny topology.

The project turned out very simple technology. It is ideal topology of a warehouse for distribution: broad passes, selection using radio terminals. We threw out all unnecessary that could tear and ruin this warehouse. It was succeeded to convince the customer that it is not necessary to pursue technological effectiveness at once. It is necessary to begin with simple movements, to become effective, and then gradually to complicate. Got rid of gravitation, narrow passes, did not begin to place production. For that situation it is possible to tell that we saved the customer from absolutely vain, unnecessary costs.

The director created group of implementation in advance, approximately for half a year before start. It released two people who were engaged only in this project. For half a year we with them could be prepared so well that they carried out implementation without our participation. The starting project – always difficult, but they were ready to it both physically, and psychologically, and technology.

Outputs: to carefully prepare a start command in advance – it is very good. Ideally on this process it is necessary few months, and people for this time should be whenever possible exempted from other tasks, and at their order there has to be a test version of WMS on which they can practice.

At the time of the beginning of works a part of technical solutions was already implemented. For example, the car came in a warehouse. In the Siberian conditions it represents big complexity as in hard frosts the car thaws and freezes to rails. The stage should not be positive temperature in the winter. There is enough if the stage which is not blown if there is some kind of platform – the canopy protecting from rainfall

Gate in a receiving zone for motor transport were not any. We reduced all receiving front on one platform: both cars, and machines. There is a sorting process further, but there is no excess transportation from one zone in another.

The small turned platform was feature of section. Found this way out using slanting docks.

The convenient zone of interaction of operators with the outside world coordinated to access control on a warehouse was organized.
