Toy Store (Infor SCM WM (EXceed WMS))

The S-toyz company, the importer and the producer of toys entering into Toy Store group selected Infor WM NG (EXceed WMS) for management of the new distribution center in the territory of the logistic park of the class "A" "Krekshino" from the Moscow region.

The distribution center in Krekshino will become the main link of the created network of the warehouses "The Toy Store — the Center" in Russia. According to plans of the company in a logopark of Krekshino situated near Moscow the central distribution center will be located, and in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Rostov warehouse complexes about 5 thousand sq.m everyone will be rented in the nearest future.

For the last two and a half years the number of shops of retail chain stores Toy Store grew from 36 to 112, the total floor space increased four times, having reached nearly 200 thousand sq.m. At the same time the network represents geographically distributed structure which shops are located on considerable space - from Baltic Kaliningrad to the Siberian Kemerovo and the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk. To provide uninterrupted service of shops, to reduce the growing logistic costs and also the decision on creation of a new logistic complex and equipment by its advanced warehouse management system of the class WMS was made to increase efficiency of all supply chain in general company management.

EXceed WMS was selected after the detailed research of the market of the similar systems. Sales opportunity of the project in a short time due to flexibility of a system and application by specialists of I2 CIS of specially developed methodology of maintaining the project became important criterion for adoption of this solution. Besides, compliance of a system to difficult business processes of the company and a possibility of its further scaling with the minimum costs was considered. A system should work with a large number of the nomenclature, support processes of cross docking, billing and to be integrated with the existing accounting systems of the customer.

Within the project specialists of I2 CIS automate warehouse infrastructure of the head distribution center of 20 thousand sq.m. System implementations are going to be executed in five stages including modeling of future business processes of the customer, deployment and adaptation of a working circuit, training of warehouse personnel and industrial start of a complex under control of Infor WM NG (EXceed WMS).
