SAP will simplify development of cloud software on the Microsoft platform

During the SAPPhire now conference which took place last week in the city of Orlando, State of Florida, the SAP company announced plans of closer integration between SAP products and technologies of virtualization and cloud computing from Microsoft. On the same action of Microsoft the status of the global "partner of year" of SAP in the field of technologies was given.

Still at application integration of SAP and .NET to developers it was necessary to resort to Java as intermediary technology. In the future it will be eliminated. Within the announced partnership it is going to simplify processing of business processes of a SAP software using .NET platform tools that will allow to reduce terms of software development and to reduce the related costs. Besides, instruments of integration between management tools IT infrastructure from SAP which are in development now, and tools Microsoft System Center and Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V from Microsoft will be provided.

Within partnership integration of future versions of the Visual Studio into the SAP platform will be performed. Besides, the developers using .NET and the Windows platform of Azure will be able to perform interaction with SAP by means of SAP NetWeaver technology — it will allow them to create applications, without going deep into specifics of development based on the SAP platform. Integration into Windows Azure will also open an opportunity for creation of the "hybrid" cloud applicaions combining together possibilities of public cloud solutions from Microsoft and internal solutions based on SAP.

In February of the current year SAP and Microsoft already announced the conclusion of partnership of Duet Enterprise directed to integration of SAP products and Microsoft SharePoint: "Making a start from successful experience of interaction within Duet Enterprise, SAP and Microsoft are going to increase significantly interoperability and productivity of developers so the .NET programmers will be able to create with ease applications in Visual Studios which will work at the SAP and Microsoft platforms", – Vishal Sikka, the board member of SAP reported.
