Smart Logistic Group (WMS Logistics Vision Suite)

The ant Technologies company, the leader of the Russian market of IT solutions for logistics, and the chief Russian network logistic operator of Smart Logistic Group (SLG) announce a successful completion of complex automation of the warehouse terminal of SLG Domodedovo based on the WMS system of Logistic Vision Suite.

Smart Logistic Group (www.slg.ru) provides a full range of logistics and customs services (including a customs clearance and customs clearance of loads, safe custody, warehousing, electronic declaring, etc.) on warehouse complexes of class "A" in the Moscow region and large megalopolises of the Russian Federation. At the moment SLG creates an end-to-end logistics system which will connect producers and consumers of Russia, Europe, the countries of Southeast Asia and North America.

Management of a warehouse of SLG Domodedovo with a total area of 85 thousand sq.m and with a capacity more than 100 thousand an europallet at rack storage, located in the territory of the production and logistic park "Northern Domodedovo" situated near Moscow, largest in Europe, is performed using the modern warehouse management system Logistic Vision Suite. The choice of SLG is dictated by the fact that the ant Technologies company offered the complex IT solution which is completely meeting the requirements of the logistic operator, among which: implementation by one provider program and the hardware, easy adaptation of a system under specific features of business of clients of a warehouse, the fulfilled implementation technique considering specifics of 3PL-warehouses, the policy of replication of a system allowing to implement quickly a system in new warehouses of the company, technical support of the implemented solution.

Within the project specialists of ant Technologies jointly with specialists of Smart Logistic Group performed implementation of the basic Warehouse Vision system of the Logistic Vision Suite family providing automation of all warehouse transactions of the terminal of SLG Domodedovo. Software supply rate – 100 user licenses. In addition to the basic ant Technologies system made setup of add-on modules: the module of billing there is Logistics Billing which allows to control settlement with clients, and the module Link Manager serving for fast integration of WMS with the accounting systems of clients of the operator. Within development of the project setup of the add-on module of the analysis and reporting of Logistics Intelligence which is the instrument of consolidation of the reporting, management of key indicators of process (KPI), providing data for carrying out strategic analysis and support of decision making system in real time is planned.

In addition to implementation of the WMS system of ant Technologies performed delivery and installation of necessary technology equipment – 53 data collection terminals of Motorola (Symbol), 6 industrial label Zebra Technologies printers, the server hardware of IBM and also workstations of Fujitsu Siemens. In the territory of a warehouse complex the local computer network is successfully organized, the network is unrolled by Wi-fi.

Warehouse and administrative staff of SLG was trained at the rate of the warehouse management system Logistic Vision Suite, organized by specialists of ant Technologies Educational advice center.

Now a transfer to a system of all goods items which are stored in a warehouse which contain 30 thousand names of goods is made. Also gradation is led to processing of loads of all clients who are available in a warehouse in the WMS system. Now the first clients of SLG - Pepsi Bottling Group and one of distributors of Coca-Cola are connected to Logistic Vision Suite.

Implementation of the WMS system of Logistic Vision Suite will allow SLG to provide high standards and speed of provision of services on storage and processing of loads, to minimize own costs and costs of owners of goods, to increase management efficiency and control of actions of personnel.

In plans of ant Technologies and SLG continuation of cooperation on control automation of warehouses by network across all Russia. Smart Logistic Group until the end of 2008 is going to implement WMS Logistic Vision Suite in two warehouses - in St. Petersburg (area of 30.000 sq.m) and in Yekaterinburg (area of 22.000 sq.m).
