uTorrent 3.0: beta

Creators of the popular client of uTorrent for the protocol of filesharing BitTorrent built in the new beta of the program the possibility of consecutive loading of files allowing to begin watching the downloaded movie even before the end of loading^[1].

Within BitTorrent technology any file breaks into several parts (chunks) which are in parallel downloaded from different sources. Thanks to it, downloading happens much quicker and more reliably, however a shortcoming is that parts are downloaded not one after another (from the beginning of the file up to the end). It means for movies that it is impossible to begin reproduction before the end of loading of the file, as developers in the beta of uTorrent 3.0 tried to correct.

In uTorrent perhaps consecutive downloading of the file thanks to what it is possible to browse the loaded part of the video. Naturally, rather high speed of loading is for this purpose necessary, otherwise a system it will not be simple to manage to download the necessary pieces.

The uTorrent developer, company BitTorrent, Inc., already for a long time tries to find application for the popular protocol in the field of video transmission. Theoretically technical features of BitTorrent are able to allow authors of content to organize much more effective distribution of the materials with considerably smaller costs – however for this purpose owners should cross through "piracy" past and present BitTorrent.

One more innovation of uTorrent - direct transmission of files between two users. To send the file to the user, it is enough to send it the link by e-mail or to publish it on social network. Loading of the file will also happen under the BitTorrent protocol that means that in case of communication break transfer of the file can be resumed from the same place.

Creators of uTorrent added to the program the web interface. This function allows to manage far off the program – for example, transferring commands for the home computer from the smartphone or other computer. Thus it is possible to add this or that file on downloading or to manage active loadings.

At last, it is possible to estimate and comment on the files now loaded. This information will be seen by other users of BitTorrent and to solve with its help whether this or that file is interesting to them.
