Qsan AegisSAN V100

On July 9, 2014 the Qsan Technology company presented AegisSAN product family – the network systems of data storage of AegisSAN V100 held for use in applications of video surveillance.

Each AegisSAN V100 system supports up to 200 Full HD IP cameras and provides convenient means for centralized operation by data storage. The array of AegisSAN V100 is well scaled and supports up to 192 disks. Performance of industrial level allows to cope with a high load and to transfer data at a speed up to 670 Mbps.

The systems of IP video surveillance record video in a digital format and have several advantages before the old CCTV systems, including quick and convenient search, more high image quality which does not degrade over time (as a film), an opportunity at the same time to keep record and reproduction, data compression for economy of the place.

The network structure of IP cameras provides remote access and management, simplicity of expansion, flexible data storage and also integration with postal services and other systems of communications. Today the digital IP systems quickly occupy the market and force out the CCTV systems practically in all spheres of security.

When using C2F technology together with reserve power module the level of safety of data significantly increases in comparison with systems where such technology is not applied.

Caching of data on SSD

High speed allows to carry out works of SSD drives effectively caching of data on SSD for corporate applications with the high performance and large volumes of data, including web-applications, databases, cloud services and services of virtualization. The technology of caching on SSD is implemented on hybrid data media and allows to use all advantages of HDD-and SSD drives.

Hardware Offloading technology

Exclusive QiSOE and fcQiSOE technologies from Qsan allow to transfer transactions of network protocols to hardware components, increasing, thus, performance a host storage. The high-speed iSCSI and Fibre Channel interfaces have high capacity in networks, but create additional load of a host. QiSOE for iSCSI and fcQiSOE for the Fibre Channel are hardware technologies aligning loadings which redistribute metadata and other service information on hardware components and increase performance of data warehouses.

Possibilities of virtualization

The AegisSAN Q500 system supports difficult technologies of virtualization, including VMware of VAAI, Citrix and Hyper-V with certification of VAAI. The disk array can assume loading of the server and accelerate operation of virtual machines at the expense of what virtualization density increases. The array also supports the QThin function ("thin provisioning") which reduces volumes of the selected, but not used space and, thus, allows to avoid purchase of excess drives of data. Besides, the set of additional functions and opportunities, including removal and record of snapshots (QSnap), remote replication (QReplica) and reserve power modules (BBM) is supported.
