2024: The flow of foreign tourists reached 136 thousand people

At the end of January 2025, the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov said that in 2024 the flow of foreign tourists to the region amounted to 136 thousand people, exceeding the dock-like (we are talking about the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic) indicators. He clarified that over the year about 700 thousand foreign citizens passed through the border, of which 136 thousand were tourists. Orlov also noted that the new cable car to China will transport more than 2 million people annually, and the declared tourist potential of the region has not yet been exhausted.
