Roscosmos translates the design of rocket and space complexes completely into digital form
On March 12, 2021, Roscosmos announced the approval of a series of standards governing the work with electronic technical documentation. Thanks to this initiative, the state corporation intends to translate the design of promising rocket and space complexes fully into digital form, as well as ensure the creation of their digital counterparts.
The implementation of this set of standards forms uniform requirements for the design of Roscosmos products, but also for our entire cooperation, and these are more than a thousand organizations. This will create a reliable foundation for digitalization of the entire industry, "said Gennady Abramenkov, director of the Roscosmos certification, standardization and licensing department. |
As Konstantin Shadrin, director of the digital development department of Roscosmos, explained, the standards determine the unification of products, including within information systems, so the adoption of these standards should serve as the basis for using unified solutions and methods when issuing electronic technical documentation.
According to Shadrin, the approval of a series of standards that establish uniform requirements for the process of developing rocket and space technology in electronic form summed up the discussions that have long been held at various sites regarding the correct presentation of the developed electronic documentation.
Roscosmos emphasized that the basic principles laid down in the set of standards were worked out and showed their effectiveness in the development of the world's most powerful liquid-propellant rocket engine in digital form - the RD-171MV for the first stage of the promising Soyuz-5 launch vehicle and the super-heavy rocket. "Yenisei
Of course, today we have opened a new page in the development of digital design approaches... Standardization is a symbiosis of the accumulated experience and scientific and technical knowledge gained in the process of work, "Shadrin emphasized.[2] |
