Karmanovskaya GRES - a powerful thermal power plant in the Republic of Bashkortostan, located on the Buoy River, is one of the largest in Russia. It is part of the Bashkir Generating Company (PJSC Inter RAO). In addition to electrical energy, it releases thermal energy in the form of hot water and steam. Installed electric capacity - 856.2 MW, thermal - 204 Gcal/h. The main fuel is natural gas, the reserve fuel is fuel oil.
History
2025: Launch of the power unit after reconstruction for 3.91 billion rubles
After reconstruction, the oldest, first power unit of the Karmanovskaya state district power station was launched in Bashkiria. The start of the facility by video link in September 2025 was given by the head of the republic Radiy Khabirov. The cost of reconstruction amounted to 3.91 billion rubles. The Bashkir generating company (BGK, part of the Inter RAO group), which owns the Karmanovskaya state district power station, plans to update almost all electricity production capacities in the republic, said Timofey Dubrovsky, general director of the enterprise.[1]
