The technical and economic indicators of the project provide for a significant increase in passenger traffic. The annual volume of passenger traffic by 2034 may exceed 200 thousand passengers per year. This is almost 10 times the 2022 figure, which demonstrates the ambitious plans for the development of the region's aviation infrastructure.

The development of the airport's route network involves the organization of flights in new directions. In the future, it is planned to launch regular flights to Sochi, Simferopol and Mineralnye Vody. The organization of transit air transportation is also provided, which will expand the geography of flights and increase the loading of the terminal.

The construction of the runway continues in parallel with the commissioning of the terminal. The total length of the runway will be 2.4 km, of which the construction of a cement concrete coating on a 1.2 km long section has been completed. The overall availability of the facility reached 38% of the total planned work.[1]
