Subscribers of the company are more than 23 million subscribers in eight countries: Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Belarus (A1 BY Mobile operator) and Liechtenstein.

History
The company is a successor of one of the telephone companies K.K Post-und Telegraphenverwaltung, oldest in Europe, founded in 1887.
As a result of reform of the communications industry in Austria in 2000 the company was incorporated and underwent exchange listing.
In 2007-2008 the authorities of Belarus left control in two of three local GSM operators - "Mobile Digital Networks" (Velcom trademark) and Best, stocks of the companies were taken by Telekom Austria Group and the Turkish Turkcell respectively.
