Administration of the Kamyzyaksky District municipal entity of the Astrakhan region.
Kamyzyaksky district is located within Caspian Depression in the southern part of the Astrakhan region representing the flat deltoid plain of the Volga River. In the south the territory of the area is washed by waters of the Caspian Sea.
Modern Kamyzyaksky district is one of the largest areas of the Astrakhan region.
Population – 50.5 thousand people, including urban population of 21.1 thousand persons. The administrative center of the Kamyzyaksky District municipal entity is Mr. Kamyzyak, the based about 1560 as fishing uchug, presented by the tsar Alexey Mikhaylovich Romanov to princes Kurakin for the organization in lower reaches of Volga of fishery.
