2025: Cancellation of temporary management of Gazprom's structure and resumption of household appliances production in Russia

At the end of March 2025, it became known about Ariston's decision to resume work in Russia and regain control over local assets. This happened after President RFVladimir Putin signed a decree canceling the temporary administration previously transferred to Gazprom structures. We are talking about the Ariston Termo Rus enterprise, which will continue to produce products in Russia in the same format.

In a published press release, Ariston announced the company's intention to regain control over the Russian structure and continue the operation of the enterprise in compliance with all Western sanctions. Ariston Group Executive Chairman Paolo Merloni expressed satisfaction at the restoration of full ownership and operational control of the asset, suggesting that such a decision by the Russian authorities reflects "appreciation for decades of responsible investment and management."

Ariston begins to produce household appliances in Russia again

It is important to emphasize that the resumption of work under the control of the Italian company is not the return of the brand that left Russia after 2022, as was presented in some Russian media. Ariston continued to work in the country and did not declare intentions to leave the Russian market even after the transfer of assets to the temporary management of the Russian side.

The decree on the transfer to the interim management of Gazprom Household Systems JSC of the Ariston Termo Rus structure was signed by the President of Russia on April 26, 2024. The decision was made in accordance with the decree of 2023, according to which the head of state received the right to transfer the assets of foreign companies in Russia to the external management of domestic structures.[1]

Reduction in annual revenue by 6% to RUB 8.91 billion

At the end of 2024, the manufacturer of household appliances, Ariston Termo Rus LLC, a Russian subsidiary of Ariston Thermo S.p.A., recorded revenue of 8.91 billion rubles, which is 6% less than a year earlier (9.48 billion rubles). In 2024, the net profit of Ariston Termo Rus reached 291.54 million rubles. For comparison, a year earlier this value was 33.03 million rubles. Thus, almost nine-fold growth is shown. Profit from sales on an annualized basis rose from 310.17 million rubles to 375.06 million rubles, that is, by 21%. Gross profit increased year-on-year from 2.21 billion rubles to 2.48 billion rubles.

Home appliance manufacturer Ariston in Russia reduced annual revenue to 8.91 billion rubles

The published report says that in 2024, Ariston Termo Rus incurred commercial expenses in the amount of 1.69 billion rubles against 1.38 billion rubles a year earlier. At the same time, management expenses decreased from 518.74 million rubles to 418.82 million rubles. The cost of personnel remuneration on an annualized basis rose by 17%, amounting to about 714 million rubles.

In 2024, the manufacturer recorded a pre-tax profit of 390.51 million rubles, while a year earlier the result was 96.22 million rubles. Income tax amounted to 98.97 million rubles against 63.19 million rubles at the end of 2023.[2]
