The Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering "Rubin" is the leading Soviet and Russian enterprise in the field of design of submarines, both diesel electric, and atomic. Enter into group of companies: MGP "Diakor", MGNPEP of Ecopol, Northern department of CDB ME "Rubin".

Information technologies

In CDB ME "Rubin" the end-to-end system of automated design allowing works:

• project objects of military and civil purpose using three-dimensional modeling;
• carry out the comprehensive analysis of designed projects;
• develop necessary documents on any blueprint stages;
• transfer the developed documentation electronically.

Depending on problem statement by the customer the design can be performed both in a standalone mode, and in the mode of a common information space ('the distributed office') with several organizations - collaborators of works (both Russian, and foreign).

CDB ME "Rubin" can develop interactive electronic operational documents and also information support of operations support systems of designed projects, both military, and civil purpose.

In ensuring construction work the organization locates the powerful park of the ADP equipment developed by infrastructure, modern software tools, including the unique software of own development that allows to create technical objects of any complexity.

The main software packages used in design process:

• PDS version 7.2, PDMS version 11.6 SP4, CATIA v.5 - for three-dimensional electronic modeling of case constructions, the equipment, architecture, trays, pipeline systems and ventilation;
• Autodesk AutoCAD - for release of drawing work design documentation;
• ANSYS Multiphysics - for payments of durability with the finite-element method;

Settlement complexes of own development - for calculations of durability of pipelines, pipeline systems and air ducts, a statics and dynamics of floating objects, reliability, soil, etc.

According to the Federal target program "Development of Civil Marine Facilities" for 2009-2016 in CDB ME "Rubin" the center of information technologies of design of offshore oil and gas extraction facilities is created.

History

The Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering 'Rubin' conducts the origin from the construction commission of the submarines (S) formed in 1901 for design, the leadership in construction and tests of the Square

The enterprise inseparably linked with the history of underwater shipbuilding in Russia, passed a way from small group of engineers to the largest multi-profile design collective in the development.

Till 90th of the 20th century the activity of CDB ME "Rubin" was performed only in the field of creation of fighting PL of different function. On the projects developed by CDB ME "Rubin" more than 80 % of PL which were at different times a part of the VTR of the USSR and Russia are constructed.

In the mid-nineties for of the 20th century by the management of CDB ME "Rubin" it was headed for diversification of activity of the enterprise for the purpose of preserving and the most effective use of his intellectual potential. Remaining the design office of underwater shipbuilding, largest in Russia, CDB ME "Rubin" gained practical experience of creation of difficult technical objects of civil purpose.
