GKMP (Group of Companies of Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Engineering)

LLC NPO GKMP ("Group of Companies of Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Engineering") is a domestic developer and manufacturer of specialized industrial high-tech equipment.

The organization employs more than 500 people as of September 2020, of which there are 80 highly qualified engineers.

History

2025: Opening of a plant for serial production of asphalt pavers

At the end of May 2025, the only mass production of wheeled and tracked asphalt pavers was launched in Russia. The borrower of the Industrial Development Fund, Bryansk NPO "Group of Engineering and Instrument Engineering Companies" has opened a new workshop for the production of equipment under the Desna brand. Total investment in the project a amounted to ₽281 million. The opening of production was announced by Vadim Aleshkin, First Deputy General Director of NPO GKMP.

According to TASS, according to the joint federal-regional program "Development Projects," ₽180 million was provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund, another ₽20 million by the Fund for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of the Bryansk Region. Asphalt pavers are made almost entirely from domestic components and raw materials.

The company switched to serial production of two models of wheeled and three models of tracked asphalt pavers. The Bryansk manufacturer can produce up to 40 pieces of equipment annually and take a share in 10% of the domestic market, displacing imports. The localization rate is 90%, the FRP said.

According to the agency, before the imposition of sanctions, almost the entire Russian asphalt laying market was occupied by foreign manufacturers. After the imposition of sanctions on the supply of high-tech products to Russia, including asphalt pavers, Chinese manufacturers are actively claiming the vacated market.

Nikolai Inyutin, General Director of NPO GKMP, noted that thanks to the preferential loan of the Industrial Development Fund, the company was able to equip a new workshop with modern equipment and switch from piece to serial production of asphalt pavers. According to him, the company intends to close up to 10% of the needs of the Russian market and further increase this share.^[1]

2020

As of September 2020, the research and production company provides a full portfolio of services, from the development and creation of project documentation, all types of engineering work to the manufacture of equipment for an individual customer order.

The company covers a wide range of science-intensive technologies, including technological lines for heat treatment, vacuum spraying plants, thermal compression plants.
