2016: Schneider Electric opens scientific and education center in MSTU of G.I. Nosov
The Schneider Electric company announced in the summer of 2016 opening of scientific and education center at the Magnitogorsk state technical university of G.I. Nosov.
In the opening ceremony of the center Valery Kolokoltsev, the rector of MSTU of G.I. Nosov, Boris Muratov, the vice president of Industrial Automation business division of Schneider Electric company took part in Russia and the CIS, Batmanova Inga, the head on interaction with educational institutions of Schneider Electric company in Russia and the CIS, Yury Zhuravlev, the chief power engineer of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MISW), Shchurov Grigory, the technical director of MMK, the mayor of Magnitogorsk Vitaly Bakhmetyev.
Preparation and retraining of qualified personnel for the different industries of the Russian industry and carrying out scientific research based on the modern and innovation equipment and technologies will be main objectives of activity of scientific and education center.
Conceptual basis of the center is the integrated automated control system (IACS) created jointly by specialists of Schneider Electric, MSTU of G.I. Nosov and Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works which is a cofounder and the initiator of creation of the center. This IASU will allow on the modern technical and software tools Schneider Electric to study and project as local objects of power supply and management of specific objects, and an ACS of different levels, up to an enterprise scale and corporation. Such approach during creation of the center gives the chance in learning process not only to study the equipment and the software of IASU of the last generations and world trends in plot area of automation systems, but also with to perform development of own systems, emphasized in Schneider Electric.
Filling of the center the modern equipment with ability to integrate it in an ACS of different levels does attractive passing of training and practical courses both for developers and designers, and for services of operation of industrial enterprises, consider in the company.
Laboratories of scientific and education center will be equipped with computers, the software, four five-level stands, necessary for development of the software and hardware complexes (SHC), modeling work of an ACS of shop scale, a microprocessor system as RZIA and telemechanics, the Smart Board system and other modern equipment. Teachers of the center will perform training of specialists in several directions: power industry and electrical equipment, a mechanotronics and robotics, management in the technical systems, electronics and a nanoelectronics.
As noted, cooperation with educational institutions is an important strategic task for Schneider Electric. Today the company interacts with 30 universities across all Russia and in the CIS countries, actively expanding and developing this direction. In Russia at Schneider Electric of 6 plants, several logistic and engineering centers, representations in 35 cities through the whole country. According to the statement of the company, the Russian market is one of the most priority for Schneider Electric, for the last 5 years the company invested more than $1 billion in development of production, service and engineering and plans further investments into increase in localization.
