Renault Trucks is the French producer of civil and military trucks. It is founded in 1894 by the industrialist Louis of Renault. Was one of divisions of Renault Group concern. Since 2001 belongs to Volvo AB concern. In 2013 the pipeline was left by magnum and premium on their place rose the C, D, k and T series a series. Flagman model T series got an award the truck of year 2015.
History
1894 — Marius Berlye projects and then designs the first car with the petrol engine.
1898 — Louis Renault assembles the first car which main novvovedeniye was a 4-speed transmission
1899 — Brothers Louis, Marcel and Fernán of Renault found Société Renault Frères company.
1909 — Louis Renault becomes the only owner of the company
1910 — Berliye releases truck M with a loading capacity increased by 10 times
1914 — 1918 — Louis's companies Renault and Mariyus Berliye supply the French army with necessary automotive equipment
1917 — Renault Company, together with Berliye, creates the first Renault FT 17 tank
1923 — Renault releases the first tractor
1931 — Berliye projects and releases the first truck with the diesel engine
1939 — 1940 — Renault is one of key suppliers of trucks for the French army Renault V.I.
1950 — Berliet releases one of the most reliable trucks of that time — Berliet GLR. In total more than 100,000 trucks of this model were sold
1955-Creation of the Saviem company formed by merge of companies Latil, Somua and bus division of Renault
1978 — the Consolidation Saviem and Berliet, creation of Renault Véhicules Industriels company
1978 — 1990 — the Renault Véhicules Industriels corporation continues to strengthen the positions in the European market of mechanical engineering, in 1983 Dodge Europe is a part of the company, 7 years of Renault Véhicules Industriels later buys Mack
1990 — Renault Véhicules Industriels puts on the market legendary Magnum
1992 — Renault Véhicules Industriels is renamed into Renault V.I.
1996 — Release of Renault Premium
1998 — Renault V.I. makes the Kerax truck
2000 — the market is entered by the Midlum model
2001 — Renault V.I. passes into the structure of Volvo Group and changes the name for Renault Trucks
2005 — Renault Trucks resumes carrying out expeditions of Berliet
2006 — 2013 — development of a new lineup of Renault Trucks
June, 2013 — release of a new model gamma of Renault Trucks
