2021: Rusagro has created a software development company

On August 9, 2021, it became known about the creation by the Rusagro group of a subsidiary that will be engaged in software development. We are talking about the Rusagro Tech company, the data on which are posted in the SPARK-Interfax system.

As the general director of Rusagro Maxim Basov told Interfax, the creation of an IT subsidiary was necessary, since the group's spending on information technology is growing significantly.

The size of investments in IT is such that such a legal structure is more optimal, "he said, adding that the possibility of providing IT services not only to Rusagro, but also to third-party companies is not excluded.

By August 9, 2021, Rusagro Tech will be engaged in the development of which products. Earlier in 2021, the main owner of Rusagro Vadim Moshkovich and the general director of the agricultural holding Maxim Basov in February of this year established two software development companies - Assistance and Digital Farmer. It was noted that these are personal startups of businessmen, they were not connected with Rusagro. Investments in projects were not disclosed.

Most of the projects on the Russian market are field management systems, the founder of the investment company A.Partners Aleksei Solovyov said in a conversation with Vedomosti. Despite the fact that they are in demand, there are difficulties with connecting farmers to them: they are ready for basic services (for example, creating a field map, monitoring agricultural machinery), says Sergey Ivanov, executive director of Efko Group of Companies. But more complex services, such as scouting (remote field inspection), integration of technological maps, the use of satellite images and other opportunities, are not yet in great demand, since farmers here and now do not see the benefits in them, he summarizes.[1][2]
