History

2013: Putin made the decision

The decision on creation of the museum of the armored equipment in Prokhorovka was made by the Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 12, 2013.

In the settlement of Prokhorovka are going to create the historical and cultural center, largest in the country, devoted to the armored equipment. For November, 2016 the first part of the plan - an open tank training area is executed. The second queue - the museum of the armored equipment - the all-weather covered area where on the area of 2.7 thousand m ² and ceilings of 7 m high permanent exposure of the armored equipment, from history to the present, a special zone with children's attractions will be provided: interactive simulators of military professions, the platform for the militarized games, shooting and paintball shooting galleries.

In the museum five halls of exposure with a total area more than 1.7 thousand m ² will work.
