Zagorsk Paint Plant management company

History

In 1945 resolution 4 of Head department of NKHP USSR made the decision on construction of the paint and varnish plant in the city of Zagorsk of the Moscow region.

Construction works on construction of the main constructions the plant began in 1950.

Construction of the first stage of the plant and commisioning of workshop No. 2 of pitch and flying varnishes and enamels were planned in 1955.

On December 31, 1955 is 'birthday' of Zagorsk Paint Plant. This day the State commission signed the act of acceptance:

• workshops No. 2 - pitch and flying varnishes and enamels;
• workshop No. 6 is an underground warehouse of solvents (LVZh);
• stations of inert gas;
• branch line;
• finished goods warehouse;
• boiler house;
• fire station;
• the utilities which formed base for further increase of production capacity of the plant.

Workshop No. 2 issued the first products in February, 1956.

In March, 1962 in a system of operating workshop No. 4 - oil enamels of broad application is accepted.

In January, 1966 the State commission accepts in operation workshop No. 5 - aqueous emulsion inks.

In December, 2001 the plant was a part of MAIR industrial group.

In 2005 by Trading House ZLKZ Ltd it is renamed into JSC ZLKZ Trading House

In August, 2010 the plant became structural division of Bank of Moscow and was renamed into ZLKZ Management Company LLC

In the spring of 2012 Workshop No. 5 on production of water dispersible paints was reopened, on the plant employees, the long time working at the enterprise before production reduction returned.

Since 2012 the sales volume of paint and varnish products considerably increased, the plant is going to declare itself in top ten paint and varnish producers of Russia again.

Awards

In 1995 ZLKZ Ltd awarded with the diploma Torch of Birmingham, and also the certificate of the Russian Federation 'The leader of the Russian economy' for successful economic survival in the conditions of a social economic crisis.
