Contour BI 4.1

Data collection

Contour BI allows to build the global systems of collecting of statistics or business data. Data collection is performed in text or a XML-format, including SDMX, on the Internet.

There are modules of automatic unloading of data from popular ERP systems: 1C 7 and 1C 8, Navision, BEST, Accent. Contour ETL which allows to configure procedures of unloading of data in the graphical interface can be applied to unloading of data from other systems.

Data storage

Data are stored in Contour DWH data warehouse. Own data collection system or a system which is already available in the organization can be applied.

The model of storage is configured without programming, in terms of data domain. All database objects are tables, representations, communications and indexes are created automatically. Also automatically also formats for data collection adapt.

Data acquisition by display systems – report generators, the analytical systems is executed via the simple interface of representations, so, that it is not required to study an inner pattern of the data warehouse.

The Contour DWH storage may contain the huge nomenclature and volume of statistical data – hundreds and thousands of time series making terabytes of data.

Data analysis

The Contour Reporter program is intended for fast creation of interactive (OLAP) reports by forces of subject users and data analysis.

Contour Reporter allows to browse data under different corners, to filter them, to turn, go deep into data.

Contour Reporter is a "fat" client. He offers the analyst rich tool kit – an equation editor, synchronous or asynchronous viewing data in the form of diagrams, difficult transactions of dynamic sorting, selection of N of the best or the worst.

Contour Reporter can obtain data both from Contour DWH data warehouse, and from any other storages and databases.

The settings made in Contour Reporter remain in a repository of a metadanna of an open XML-format, and reports can remain in mobile containers – microcubes. Further reports can be published in Web.

Publication of data

The Contour BIPortal program shows interactive reports in Web. The directories of reports configured in Contour Reporter are displayed in the form of folders with convenient navigation. Interactive reports are shown in the digital Contour Digital Dashboard control panel.

The "thin" client means that for a prostmotr of reports the user does not need nothing, except his browser. Therefore the system of reports published in Contour PIPortal can provide with statistical or business data thousands of users.

In one control panel data can be displayed in tables, diagrams, devices, maps. It does data clear, visual, and reports – modern and beautiful.

A system allows to use the calculated facts which are based on the built-in functions:

• Multidimensional language of formulas with opportunities of creation of the user constants and functions.
• The hierarchical facts allowing to create calculated fields on the basis of other calculated fields.
