The Adobe company, the owner of technology, officially announced in November, 2011 the termination of developments in the direction of mobile Flash Player. Analysts wait when the similar decision is made on the desktop version of a player. From mobile Flash Player nothing turned out. The Adobe Systems company in the blog officially announced the termination of further development of Flash Player for smartphones and tablets.

"In the future our work with Flash technology for mobile devices will be limited mostly to release of tools which will allow developers to create applications for all most popular mobile platforms using Adobe of AIR", - contains in the statement of Adobe. "We will not adapt Flash Player for new mobile browsers, new versions of mobile operating systems and new devices any more", - contains in the statement. Added to the companies that the third-party developers having access to the source code can continue to perform adaptation of a player. A day before the official announcement the text of the statement was published by the website ZDNet at which disposal internal documents of the company were. The reasons for which Adobe wound up development of mobile versions of Flash Player, the vice president for platforms Danny Winokur explained. "Within more than 10 years of Flash allowed to create the richest content and to show it in browsers which were not capable of similar... However now all popular mobile devices support HTML5, and in certain cases - only it (for example, iPhone and iPad - a comment of CNews). Thus, HTML5 represents the best solution for creation and display of content on mobile devices".

Adobe Flash Player 10.1

Adobe Flash Player 10.1 consumes less memory and is automatically closed if finds out that free resources of memory are close to a starvation. The new system of buffering which allows to work with Internet broadcastings on the air is also implemented as with the home videorecorder, – to put on a pause, "rewind" forward and back (if such opportunities are supported by network of provider).

The Media Measurement function allows developers, using Flash Player 10.3 and Adobe SiteCatalyst, to analyze video using only two lines of the code. Media Measurement allows the companies to receive summary reports on distribution, playing and availability of the video content in real time. The option Acoustic Echo Cancellation gives the chance to programmers to create on-line joint applications with high-quality audio, like telephony, a voice chat in games and group conferences.

Flash Player 10.3 integrates into itself controls local storage with support of privacy settings in Mozilla Firefox 4, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 above, and future releases of Apple Safari and Google Chrome.

2015: Adobe recommends to set Flash Player updating

On June 24, 2015 the Adobe corporation announced release of the next version of the Flash Player which it strongly recommended to immediate installation, to both private users, and system administrators of the companies^[1].

Updating liquidates the vulnerability of CVE-2015-3113 detected earlier by specialists of FireEye company. According to FireEye, this vulnerability allows installation of remote control over devices after opening of specially created harmful Flash-file by them. CVE-2015-3113 is actively used by malefactors for the attacks: FireEye announces large-scale spam campaigns during which users receive messages with links to the files operating vulnerability.

Users of browsers Chrome and Internet Explorer (the last - only on OS Windows 8) will receive upgraded version of Adobe Flash Player automatically. All rest should set it independently. Vulnerability poses the most serious threat for users Windows and OS X. The version of Adobe Flash Player - 18.0.0.194 is addressed to them. Version 11.2.202.468 is intended for OS Linux which threat was estimated as less serious.
