NIIEFA of D.V. Efremov

Organization is the developer of the electrophysical equipment for basic researches, largest in Russia, in the field of nuclear physics, high energy physics and the managed thermonuclear synthesis. The institute made a decisive contribution to creation of the Russian accelerating complexes, advanced technologies using accelerators and lasers for the industry and medicine, unique installations for thermonuclear researches.

2016: Development of the PET-scanner

At the end of 2016 the company provided on acquaintance to physicians the PET-scanner of own development, there is a creation of a prototype and selection of clinic in which it should pass all necessary tests.

2007: Development of the first Russian Efatom gamma tomograph is complete

By 2007 in St. Petersburg scientists and designers of NIIEFA finished development of the first really Russian computer Efatom gamma tomograph, passed its clinical trials in hospital No. 83 of the city of Moscow. Physicians were with everything satisfied. In seven years of work of Efatom specialists only had to leave to them for small repairs twice, and the Russian software brought physicians into silent delight. Read more here.
