Received degree of the bachelor of the University of Wisconsin.
From 1983 to April, 1992 Bartz worked in SUN Microsystems company, also held positions in Cisco Systems, BEA Systems, Intel, NetApp.
Since 1992 worked in Autodesk company, having finished career in a position of the chairman of the board of directors, before occupied only top posts.
- Carol Bartz came to Yahoo!, having replaced the former CEO and the co-founder Jerry Yang at the time of stagnation - when the company lost a vector of further development. - In September, 2011 Yahoo! was announced departure of the chief executive officer by Carol Bartz whose duties were temporarily undertaken by Timothy Morse, the chief financial executive of the company, the former top manager of General Electric who joined Yahoo! in 2009.
