2023: Appointment as CEO of Logitech
On October 30, 2023, Logitech announced that after a thorough search and discussion of possible candidates, the board decided on the choice of a new CEO - it was 54-year-old Hanneke Faber. She takes up a new position from December 1, 2023.
Faber came to Logitech from Unilever Corporation, where she led a $14 billion nutrition business. Prior to that, she worked as a commercial director at the global retail chain Ahold Delhaize. In addition, Faber has held various leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, including the global divisions of Head & Shoulders and Pantene. She is a member of the board of directors and audit committee of Tapestry Inc., the parent company of luxury brands Coach, Kate Spade New York and Stuart Weitzman. She previously served on the supervisory board of pharmaceutical company Bayer AG. Faber is recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the most influential women in international business in 2021. As CEO of Logitech, Faber will first work at the company's headquarters in Switzerland before moving to Silicon Valley in 2024.
I am honored to join Logitech. This is a beloved global brand that symbolizes user-oriented design, development and innovation and has an enviable reputation for sustainability, "Faber comments on his appointment. |
The change of head of Logitech comes amid deteriorating performance. Revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2024, which was closed on September 30, 2023, amounted to $1.06 billion. For comparison: a year earlier, the figure was $1.15 billion. Thus, on an annualized basis, a fall of 8% was recorded[1]
