Was born on June 30, 1952 in Grodno, Belarus.

Education

1975 - graduated Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) majoring in from "The international economic relations".

Scientific degree

Candidate of Economic Sciences.

Career

  • worked with 1975-1978 in Udobreniya company of All-union foreign trade association "Soyuzpromeksport", in the Trade mission of the USSR in Denmark.

1985-1989 - the commercial director of Fershimeks company in Belgium.

1989-1992 - the director of Kaly company of the External economic joint-stock company "Agrokhimeksport".

1992 - the founder of International Potash Company Ltd, integrated the largest Russian producers of potash fertilizers and also Belaruskali.

1994 - the CEO of International Potash Company Ltd.

2005 - International Potash Company Ltd exports only products of JSC Silvinit.

Social and political activity

2005 - the vice president for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of International association of the industry of mineral fertilizers (IFA).

Earlier more than one and a half years held in IFA a post of the Chairman of the Working group on potash fertilizers at Committee on production and international trade.

Member of council of International association of the IFA fertilizers (France), member of the committee on production and international trade of IFA.

2009 - the member of the Board of trustees of MGIMO.

The chairman of coordination council on the culture of interregional association "Siberian Agreement"[3].

Interesting Facts

2011 - submitted a claim to registrar "Kompyyutersher" and potash company JSC Silvinit which legal successor is the joint JSC Uralkali now. In 2010 all stocks of JSC Silvinit (1.06%) owned by it were without his permission charged off its account. Moreover, malefactors managed to sign the agreement with the broker BrokerCreditService on resale of papers.

2012 - won judicial proceedings with JSC Uralkali and[4] by registrar "Kompyyutersher"[4].
