2022: Fine 1.7 million rubles for bribes to head doctors
As it became known in March 2022, the head of the Chita division of the company for the supply of medical equipment "Delrus-region" Anastasia Shelemetyev was sentenced to a fine for giving bribes to several head doctors of Transbaikal medical institutions.
Taking into account the corruption nature of the crimes and the circumstances of its commission, the court sentenced her in the aggregate of crimes to a fine of 1.7 million rubles with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the procurement of goods, works, services for state and municipal needs for 4 years. According to the investigation, from December 2017 to December 2020, Shelemetyeva, representing commercial organizations, transferred in parts a bribe in the amount of 130 thousand rubles to the chief doctor of the city maternity hospital for assistance in concluding state contracts for the supply of medical equipment. In addition, on September 27, 2019, through the mediation of her employee, she transferred a bribe in the amount of 50 thousand rubles to the chief doctor of the Chernyshev central district hospital for the same purposes.
Earlier, the court considered the cases of the remaining defendants in the case. So, the court found guilty of receiving a bribe (part 3 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) the ex-head physician of the city maternity hospital No. 1 Chita Ilya Plotkin and imposed a fine of 1.5 million rubles on him. According to investigators, after receiving a bribe in the amount of 130 thousand rubles, the former head physician instructed his subordinates to conclude contracts on public procurement for the supply of an incubator for newborns and an inhalation anesthesia apparatus in the amount of 5.5 million rubles. During the investigation, the accused also pleaded guilty.
The former head physician of the Chernyshev Central District Hospital, Natalia Shemelin, was sentenced to four years in prison on probation and a fine of 100 thousand rubles, and was also deprived of the right to hold senior positions in the health sector for 2.5 years.[1]
