Biography

CEO of JSC IDGC Holding. Nikolay Nikolaevich Shvets, was born on May 17, 1956 in the village Great Budishcha of the Dykanka district of Poltava region.

Education

In 1983 graduated from power faculty of All-Union correspondence polytechnical institute majoring in "power supply of industrial enterprises of the cities and agriculture", qualification – "electrical engineer". In 1991 graduated from the air defense Military command academy, in 1997 Military academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

From 1974 to 1986 passed military service in Troops of air defense of the country in positions of the technician, engineer, chief of department of department of the chief power engineer of the Central command post of Troops of air defense of the country. From 1986 to 1988 - in different positions in General staff of Troops of air defense, the deputy head of department of the Integrated air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States. In 1998 it is dismissed from armed forces of the Russian Federation in a military rank "colonel".

Scientific activity

Candidate of Economic Sciences, associate professor, professor of Academy of military sciences, assistant manager department of military and technical cooperation of Research and training center of defense problems of Academy of military sciences, associate editor of magazines "Regions of Russia: National priorities", "Military science and defense policy". Author of 50 scientific works, including 3 monographs. In expert community is the leading specialist in area of the strategic and economic analysis, system researches and organizational and economic mechanisms of military and technical cooperation of Russia with countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Career

From 1998 to 2007 – in the system of military and technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with the foreign states. Chief of staff of the CEO of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Promeksport, general director assistant of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport. Since 2003 the vice president of the Union of employers of mechanical engineering, the member of Bureau of Russian Engineering Union. Fulfilled duties of the member of Boards of Directors of the Sarapul electrogenerating plant and JSC Start Scientific and Production Enterprise.

Since August, 2007 – the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Amur region. Since March, 2008 – the chairman of Legislative assembly of the Amur region.

Since March 17, 2009 - the CEO of JSC IDGC Holding.

In May, 2012 Interfax reported that Nikolay Shvets leaves the post in IDGC. According to the source of agency, the decision on Shvets's resignation was made at the level of the government. Interlocutors of the agency also reported that IDGC Holding can be transferred to JSC FGC UES, however did not specify whether there is a speech about transfer into the ownership or to management. "The basic decision is made, however the technology of transfer of FGC holding is not defined yet", - told one of them.

Awards

Winner of an award of Academy of military sciences of A.V. Suvorov. It is awarded the order Honour, medal "For Labour Difference" (1973), medal "For Services in Battle" (1989), some other government awards, awards of Russian Orthodox Church of the Saint blessed prince Daniel of Moscow and Sergey of Radonezh of the 3rd degree.
