On October 30, 2025, the company Axiom JDK (Axiom JSC) announced the release of the Axiom Spring product. Java Axiom Spring's high-tech framework includes long-term support and elimination vulnerabilities in the Spring Framework and Spring Boot versions, which are no longer supported by the community.

According to the company, Spring, along with Java, serves as a key technology platform for modern development. Fintech systems, telecom services, retail and state systems are built on it. According to a TechRadar Java 2025 study conducted by JUG Ru Group in Russia, about 90% of companies in Russia use the Spring framework to create web applications, and a third of them use Spring Boot 2.x.

Until recently, organizations could rely on long-term support from the community for Spring. However, its state-of-the-art provider Broadcom (formerly VMware) reduced the open support period for the Spring Framework and Spring Boot to one year and switched Long Term Support (LTS) to a commercial model. Now, semi-annual releases are forcing frequent migrations, which is extremely time-consuming for critical systems on Spring. And foreign sanctions practically deprive Russian companies of access to security updates, which directly affects compliance with regulatory requirements and the stability of business processes in KII and GIS. The termination in 2026 of support for all versions of Spring Framework 6.x, which are used by more than half of domestic developers, will further aggravate the problem.

Axiom Spring's product is designed to address these risks. It provides a secure and regularly updated platform for enterprise Java development and operation of Internet applications and microservices while preserving all the capabilities of the Spring ecosystem. The product includes LTS versions of Spring Boot starting with version 2.7, as well as libraries from the Spring family with closed vulnerabilities that Spring Boot requires to work. The framework comes together with Axiom JDK Pro, an industrial Java platform with increased security and performance, and Libercat Embedded, a server component replacing Tomcat in Spring applications. Axiom Spring is assembled according to the industrial process of RBPO as per GOST R 56939-2024. All libraries undergo a rigorous audit, which eliminates the presence of "bookmarks" and undocumented capabilities.

Axiom Spring will help reduce operating and infrastructure costs. Thanks to the platform, the business will gain control over the life cycle of its systems without dependence on foreign suppliers and external factors. Domestic companies will be able to switch to new versions of Spring and Spring Boot at a convenient moment, and not every six months, to meet the requirements of regulations for the protection of critical infrastructure, including GOST and import substitution dates, and at the same time maintain the usual technology stack and CI/CD processes.
