2024: Building an Anti-Fraud System

Document recognition company Dbrain has created an anti-fraud system with which companies can issue loans and loans only to trusted people. The company announced this on November 5, 2024.

According to the Bank of Russia, the main source of vulnerabilities is manual document checks, since a person may not notice complex fakes or make a mistake.

Anti-fraud 2.0 from Dbrain is designed to help solve this problem: automates the process of data reconciliation and increases the accuracy of document recognition. The AI-based product is capable of detecting complex passport and selfie fakes in seconds. The program allows MFIs and banks to reduce the risk of errors and reduce the process of issuing loans and loans to customers.

We created Antifrod 2.0, focusing on the real problems that MFIs face every day. We conducted surveys among leading industry figures and collected data on a million passports to "train" our product. This approach allows the system to detect those errors that can be invisible even to an experienced specialist. We are confident that Antifrod 2.0 is a step forward to a digital future where document verification is as fast, reliable and secure as possible,
said Artyom Meshcheryakov, project manager at Dbrain.

According to Dbrain, 2% of all fakes passing through MFIs are so adept that they are difficult to detect even by underwriters. Using artificial intelligence, Antifrod analyzes the image and detects traces of passport generators, fakes created in a graphic editor, and other signs of interference in documents and photos of people.

Anti-fraud 2.0 accelerates document processing and helps employees focus on really difficult cases, and customers get services faster.
