2026: INKA 4.0 with module "INCA. Production Model" version 2

The Russian platform INKA 4.0 has released an updated version of the functional module "INKA Production Model" - one of the key components in the construction of MES at industrial enterprises. The update enhances operational production accounting capabilities, improves transparency and manageability of production processes, and helps to quickly obtain reliable data for decision-making at the workshop and enterprise level. The NIC Consom Group announced this on February 17, 2026.

The functional module "INKA Production Model" is designed for setting up and maintaining operational production accounting as part of MES systems at industrial enterprises. FOR February 2026, its second version was released.

During the work on it, several significant changes were made. The first is the formation of a unified accounting system for different types of materials. Some of them require tracking the origin of each unit (genealogy), others are taken into account by mass or volume. Previously, these approaches were divided into two independent contours, which caused difficulties in operations where such materials intersected.

The second change made it possible to strengthen protection against failures in the distributed system. If the operation ended correctly on one site and an error occurred on the other, inconsistent data appeared along the chain of operations. The Distributed Failure Transaction Engine automatically rolls back any changes you make. It supports both long operations (for a few seconds) and very fast (in fractions of a second).

The third change led to the possibility of phased entry of transaction data. In the first version of the module, it was necessary to immediately provide all the information to fix the production operation. In practice, the data comes gradually: some - automatically, some - from employees. Now operations have a life cycle: after creation, they are assigned the status "in work," and different participants consistently complement the information. One employee records data on energy resources, the other - on materials, an automated system transmits sensor readings. This allows the system to operate even if the data is incomplete. If there is not enough information, the user does not need to enter everything again - the system will ask you to add only the missing fields.

An important addition was a separate module "SHARM" (Template AWS), which helps to adapt a typical product to the specifics of a particular production due to a two-level architecture. The basic accounting and data management logic remains closed and universal, and interfaces, screen forms, and additional functions are delivered as an open source template. Customers can change interfaces, create multiple variants of the same screen for different groups of users, develop their own functions, and update the system in one shop independently.

The second version of INKA Production Model solves a difficult problem. On the one hand, the industry is in dire need of finished products for rapid implementation. On the other hand, each enterprise has its own, historically established approaches to work. This is also important to consider. We offer a system that combines the advantages of a "boxed" solution and the flexibility of design development. In 2-3 months, the customer can make more than half of the necessary changes to the module within the framework of its customization in accordance with his requirements, - said Andrey Stepanov, architect of the INKA 4.0 platform.

2025: Version 2.0

The company NIC "CONSOM GROUP" has released an update to the functional module (FM) INKA. Production model version 2.0 - a solution designed for setting up and maintaining operational production accounting as part of MES systems. The developer announced this on August 7, 2025.

In version 2.0:

  • Unified logic of materials accounting: combined quantitative and piece accounting, which allows you to flexibly adapt the system to the features of various types of production.
  • Additional types of goods movement documents - Shipment Auto Documents and Purchase Requisitions have been added to make it more convenient for cross-process material transfers. Manual shift tasks have been added, allowing you to organize accounting for production by units in the workshop.
  • It has become possible to store many options for chemistry and additional properties of the material: the new data structure allows you to set priority and highlight the sign of the main chemistry or additional properties of the material.
  • Updated structure of the accounting transaction: the operation statuses are highlighted, you can gradually create accounting data in different roles. A structure has been added for fixing personnel and positions for the operation, fixing process parameters of equipment and tools.
  • Division and list of system operations in the workshop: the list of operation types is reduced to 5 pieces, the division into technological and administrative accounting operations is allocated, which facilitates the formation of data in the model by workshop and allows you to organize communication with the production technology.
  • An a-synchronous model of workshop interaction has been developed and implemented: external and internal events have been added, which allows you to organize communication of services through the data bus.
  • Added a new object dynamic table: allows for any accounting entity to generate data for display to the user taking into account rights and calculating virtual attributes.
  • The numbering boxes have been improved: it has become possible to store the issued numbers in each workshop separately and manage them independently.
  • Added transactional data model: the production model can start, roll back and confirm data transactions.
  • New objects for access control are highlighted: added the ability to manage rights to operations, documents, storage areas and material attributes. This allows you to configure the enterprise data access policy in detail.
  • New administrator console: the ability to configure all basic logic without modifications is implemented, which speeds up implementation and reduces dependence on developers.
  • Template module with low-code configuration: integrators can adapt the functionality to the specifics of a specific production with minimal refinement.
  • Complete documentation and implementation methodology - greatly simplifies module start-up and training of specialists at the customer's side.

The first version of the module - INKA. Production model 1.0 - was released in 2022 as a basic product. In January 2023, the module was included in the Register of Russian software.

FM INCA. The production model provides control and configuration of MES in terms of accounting for the production and storage of materials.

It is suitable for continuous and continuous-discrete production with a high degree of complexity - many pieces of equipment, branched routes, as well as a large volume of processed materials, including semi-finished products and raw materials.

FM version INKA. Production model 2.0 is available for commercial implementation.
