Nexign RAN Congestion Awareness Function is a tool for flexible adaptation to network load changes from Nexign.

2025: Inclusion in the Unified Register of Russian Software

Nexign on October 29, 2025 announced the inclusion of its Nexign RCAF (RAN Conviction Awareness Function) product in the Unified Register of Russian Software. Nexign RCAF allows telecom operators to launch pre-5G services, monetize customer experience during network congestion and manage traffic at loaded base stations at the software level - without large-scale investments in telecom equipment.

Data traffic in telecom operator networks continues to grow. According to, in the volume of to data Ministry of Digital Development Russia traffic at mobile internet the end of 2024 increased by 13.9%. The growth will continue due to an increase in the level of penetration smartphones into subscriber bases operators and the popularity of "heavy," content primarily domestic video services. A similar situation is observed at the global level. According to the data, ABI Research mobile data traffic in the world will grow by 23% annually in the next five years, which will require operators to constantly invest in improving network capacity and performance to reduce congestion risks. At the same time, the cost of equipment required to expand networks also 4G continues to increase: for example, at the beginning of 2025, growth amounted to 30%. In addition, the introduction of 5G networks, which could significantly improve the performance situation, has not yet begun in Russia, and in others countries CIS it is slow due to significant capital expenditures.

Nexign RCAF allows you to reduce operator costs for the purchase of expensive telecom equipment, as it provides control of radio network congestion at the software level. In addition, the product opens up new opportunities to increase the operator's revenue, for example, through the launch of pre-5G services for quality of service management (QoS). The system continuously collects data on the load level of base stations, identifying local congestion areas and affected subscribers. Working in conjunction with the Nexign PCRF policy management system, the product allows the operator to intelligently redistribute the resource of base stations between subscribers and flexibly manage client experience depending on the state of the network.

By receiving data on congestion, operators can implement services in LTE networks, which usually appear in the operator only after the launch of autonomous 5G networks. For example, to launch VIP products for corporate and government segments with guaranteed high QoS, to provide traffic priority for highly profitable services and customer segments in congestion conditions. In addition, operators can monetize client experience management for partner applications (access control and QoS at the application level, traffic type) and charging taking into account the state of the network.

Nexign continues to invest in the development of products for monetizing and managing the efficiency of 4G networks, which are optimized for reliability and performance for Tier 1-2 operators, "said Maxim Nartov, Director of Business Development at Nexign. - Now in the register of domestic software there is a flexible tool for managing the experience of subscribers during network congestion. NexignRCAF allows you to increase the efficiency of the use of radio network resources and reduce the cost of its expansion, as well as opens up new opportunities for the operator to grow revenue by launching new services and providing better customer experience.
