2019: Announcement
In the middle of October, 2019 submitted to Siemens Healthineers the new ultrasonic Acuson Redwood system which should become the economic and multifunction solution for many hospitals.
Developed on the basis of the Acuson platform, new BONDS systems uses ultrasonic (CEUS) and elastomeric (SWE) applications with contrast gain — technologies which Siemens did not offer in this segment earlier. Besides, Siemens said that it included in a system cardiological tools and also software on the basis of artificial intelligence for workflow optimization.
BONDS systems Acuson Redwood uses the technology of formation of the coherent image developed by the company for preserving of quality of pictures even in difficult situations. Besides, Acuson Redwood uses universal technology of image processing UltraArt which allows users to select one of several offered processing options instead of manually configuring a number of settings of the image.
A system includes 13 sensors and is intended for different departments of hospital, including radiological, cardiological and obstetric and gynecologic. The design of a system was developed so that the tool could be moved easily between different divisions of hospital. Besides, Acuson Redwood is equipped with special software for work in different clinical situations. So, for heart assessment such tools as Velocity Vector Imaging (VVI) — 2D - the tool for assessment global and regional mobility of a wall of sredets and studying of biomechanics of a myocardium and also the tool for carrying out a stress echocardiography and the special mode for obtaining the contrast image of heart were added to functionality of Acuson Redwood.[1]
