2020: The announcement of Aladdin-M - a system for assessment of progressing of eye diseases

At the end of August, 2020 the Topcon Healthcare company provided the Aladdin-M device for assessment of progressing of eye diseases. According to the press release, Aladdin-M integrates functions of topography of a cornea, a coreometry and optical biometrics, thereby providing objective assessment of curvature of a cornea, dynamics of a pupil and axial length of an eye.

The Aladdin-M system includes the software which allows to document measurements of axial length of an eye and to monitor their changes eventually. Such approach allows not only to reveal risk factors, but also to estimate progressing of a disease and its response to treatment. The device also includes the tools necessary for treatment of shortsightedness and for screening of a keratokonus and selection of contact lenses. According to developers, the Aladdin-M device is compact, easy-to-work and significantly reduces inspection time, increasing satisfaction of the patient.
