2018: Amazon started security systems for the house

At the end of April, 2018 began to offer Amazon own security systems for the house. The user can select one of five packets differing in a set of services and the equipment.

According to the The Verge edition, the cheapest option costs $240 and in fact only creates illusion of presence in the house of people. The lamps which are lighting up at recognition of the movement and also "smart" house lighting and the wireless waterproof speaker are included in the delivery.

For $840 also enter a doorbell with video surveillance which can be connected to the smartphone, signaling, motion sensors, leakages and floodings of the premises, the Wink system for centralized operation by elements of the "smart" house and other devices the most expensive version.

Amazon made the decision to sell service in protection of the house for the fixed payment whereas many other companies in the market take money for a daily subscription. Besides, the system of Amazon works is termless or until one or several devices do not fail.

It is not the first experience of Amazon in the market of technologies of house security. In 2017 the company started service of free consultations by means of the voice assistant to Alexa and installation of the systems of the "smart" house, like Ecobee thermostats and the Arlo network cameras. It is supposed that these initiatives will increase audience of users of other services, like Amazon Key which allows to deliver sendings directly to a house threshold in absence of owners.^[1]
