2019: Beginning of sales
On January 30, 2019 Canon Medical Systems presented the new computer Aquilion Start tomograph at the Arab Health 2019 exhibition in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). At the same time the company announced the beginning of sales of this equipment.
The producer claims that Aquilion Start occupies the small space and should provide an acceptable total cost of ownership and operating costs that there are as much as possible health facilities and centers of medical visualization could invest means in acquisition of this KT-scanner.
The intuitive control panel and the optimized process automation are designed to facilitate work of clinical physicians, and advanced technologies increase safety of patients, facilitate adoption of clinical solutions and accelerate workflow. Everything together allows the Aquilion Start KT-scanner to increase satisfaction both patients, and health workers.
KT-scanner opening width rather big — 78 cm (it is convenient for corpulent people and patients with limited opportunities), and couches for the patient — 47 cm that allows to conduct a research of patients with obesity. At the same time it is possible to lower a couch on height to 31.2 cm to facilitate transfer of patients from the wheelchair. Aquilion Start has the Flex e-Tilt function which provides a convenient inclination of the console, and the Organ Effective Modulation (OEM) technology supplements the Flex e-Tilt function, reducing impact on eyes to 60%.
The applications integrated into protocols simplify difficult researches and yield the reliable and reproduced results. These applications include SURESubtraction for automatic removal of bone educations in the analysis of images, MultiView for automatic multiplane reconstruction and AIDR 3D of the 4th generation for reconstruction of three-dimensional images. Aquilion Start also includes the detector Canon PureVision for the first time provided in a line of KT-scanners of a premium class of the company.[1]
