2020: Start of sales of Becton Dickinson FACSLyric - the automated laboratory for analyses in oncology
In the middle of October, 2020 the Becton Dickinson company began in the USA sales of the FACSLyric system for flowing cytometry with the built-in algorithm of preparation of tests BD FACSDuet. A system allows clinical laboratories to automate completely process of the analysis and to increase efficiency due to decrease in quantity of errors and restriction of manual manipulations.
The flowing cytometry is a method of a research of suspensions using registration of light scattering and fluorescence. The name of a method is connected with the main application, namely, with a research of single biological cages in a flow. Advantages of a method include short time of the analysis at the expense of high speed, determination of subpopulations and measurement of parameters of seldom found cages. It allows to use flowing cytometry in the immunological analysis, oncology, hematology and pharmacology.
Integration of a system of preparation of samples and flowing cytometry allows technical specialists to load samples and reagents into the device and to quickly receive results after the analysis of samples on a flowing tsitometr. Software of BD FACSLink Middleware provides bidirectional communication between devices and communication with laboratory information systems.
The flowing cytometry in clinical laboratory is a difficult process which includes several workflows and a number of manual manipulations. Economic and effective technologies are necessary for laboratories for cost reduction, quality improvement and restriction of quantity of errors. Such solution is the system of preparation of tests BD FACSDuet, - the president of BD Biosciences Puneet Sarin noted.[1] |
