In the middle of May, 2019 the division of Biosense Webster entering into Johnson & Johnson specializing in electrophysiology and developing the equipment for mapping of heart and ablative catheters for treatment of cardiac arrhythmias started new cloud network for connection of a set of devices and exchange of clinical data. Innovation is provided at an annual conference of scientific sessions of Society of a rhythm of heart.
The cloud network under the name Cartonet using Siemens Healthineers technologies allows doctors and it is easy for health care systems to communicate and to quickly find necessary data, for example, video and three-dimensional images received during the procedures of ablation including using the three-dimensional cartographic CARTO 3 system. Besides, the new cloud network is capable to provide data access from any notebook or the tablet.
Analytical software allows organizations to estimate statistical data in quantity of cases, load of laboratory and procedural efficiency and also on other indicators, the company reported. Data on separate clinical cases and researches can be also transferred between organizations.
Cartonet uses a cloud platform of Teamplay from Siemens Healthineers, one of the largest data networks in health care, with more than 3600 connected organizations in 59 countries. The cloud platform of Teamplay meets the advanced industry requirements to security and confidentiality and correspond to HIPAA and GDPR.
The president of Biosense Webster Worldwide Uri Yaron noted that wide use of the CARTO 3 systems around the world will allow to collect data necessary for improvement of procedures and also drawing up programs of the personalized training and trainings.[1]
