2025: Start of release and dispatch to the WO area

The unmanned armored vehicle "Zubilo" has passed the final revision and will be transferred to the military for testing within a month and a half. This was announced on February 21, 2025 by the general director of the Remdizel enterprise Alexander Zakharov.

According to "Military Review," the new version of the machine eliminated the shortcomings identified during previous tests, including excess weight, insufficient patency and autonomy.

Remdizel General Director Alexander Zakharov said that the company is completing the revision of the Zubilo unmanned armored vehicle, and within a month and a half it will be transferred to the military for special tasks.

The unmanned armored vehicle was first introduced in 2023. The platform is designed as a multifunctional means of supporting advanced units with the ability to install various weapons depending on the tasks performed.

The Zubilo is a new class of unmanned armored vehicles capable of operating at the forefront of hostilities. The technical solutions used in the design allow the machine to perform a wide range of tasks without risking personnel.

Particular attention was paid to improving the cross-country ability and autonomy of the machine, which is critical for the effective performance of combat missions in various conditions. The modular design allows you to quickly adapt the platform to the specific requirements of the military.^[1]

On August 11, 2023, it became known about the creation in Russia of an unmanned armored car "Zubilo" for assault groups. This is the development of the Remdizel company from Tatarstan (specializes in the overhaul and modernization of weapons and military equipment; the company also produces armored vehicles of the Typhoon, Tornado and Shot families).

Among the functions of Zubil, in addition to the main purpose, the company named the supply of ammunition, the transportation of goods and wounded and the charging of radio stations and quadcopters. It is not specified when the Russian military receives this unmanned armored car by August 11, 2023.

Military expert Andrei Koshkin, in an interview with a correspondent for the Public News Service, told what tasks the Zubilo will still perform and how the situation on the battlefield will change thanks to such vehicles.

Today, unmanned moving objects both on the ground and in the air are in the focus of extremely much attention. For this, there are all the conditions for scientific and technological progress and there is a great demand, - he said.

Koshkin recalled that by August 2023, it is simultaneously in the coincidence of the request and opportunities for moving unmanned objects.

In terms of fighting, it's humanity's dream here that machines will fight and people will sit in a safe place and control them. This dream becomes a reality, but a person is arranged in such a way that he himself must fulfill it. Now we are faced with the desire to create powerful tank facilities that would be controlled without human help and could themselves win. One of these is the Zubilo unmanned armored personnel carrier, the specialist added.[2]
