2021: Video Product Demo

In early June 2021, a demonstration of the world's first helicopter rant took place. The development of technology is carried out by the Australian company CopterPack.

The manned drone uses two propellers, the diameter of which is about 90 cm. They are located on  a rigid framework along with batteries and two armrest with controls. The device operates on  an electric engine,  and the body is made of  strong  and light carbon fiber.

Stable controlled flight provides rotors turn circuit forming thrust vector. After vertical takeoff, the pilot moves the rotors to the desired position to move forward or rotate right/left. According to the developers, large screws help to spend less energy on take-off and maneuvering. At the same time, due to the large diameter of propellers, the likelihood of ingress of birds increases.

In the published CopterPack video, the pilot takes off stably and controlled, rises high above the beach, and then moves forward and sideways before landing very gently.

Due to the small size of the power supply, the helicopter cannot be in the air for a long time. According to experts, by the beginning of June 2021, the helicopter rant has serious safety problems: in the event of a failure of at least one engine, a fall is inevitable, so the flight altitude should be limited to 15 meters.

Presented is the world's first helicopter jet shot. People are already flying it

By June 8, 2021, the manufacturer does not name the timing of the release of its product to the mass market. Also unknown is its estimated cost. Most likely, the company needs to work on the security of its technology.

CopterPack is not the first personal aircraft, but unlike many others it is completely electric and therefore more environmentally friendly.[1]
