2025: Financial Data Service Introduction

On October 31, 2025, Korus Consulting Group of Companies presented a service for preparing, transforming, verifying and loading data - ETQL, developed taking into account 20 years of project practice.

ETQL is a tool for data owners: CFOs, analysts, methodologists, PLA specialists, and anyone responsible for budgeting and consolidation processes. The service allows you to work with Excel and CSV files, connect to databases and external API services, fill in empty column values ​ ​ from already loaded data, configure rules for mapping data without code and IT, as well as check the correctness of this data before loading into the system.

The name ETQL reflects four key steps in working with data: extract - data extraction, transform - their transformation, setting up mappings and combining analytics, qualify - automatic validation, load - loading into target systems. The solution closes the current needs of specialists who work daily with reporting, budgets, data and strive to manage them independently, without involving IT specialists.

When automating budgeting, consolidation, and management reporting processes, the focus has traditionally been on methodology, calculation logic, and interface. At the same time, the stages of data preparation and loading often remain on the sidelines and become a problem during the integration stage. The need to manually check uploads from 1C, compile Excel files, correct errors, and reload data results in lost manageability and reduced information quality. The KORUS Consulting team tested various solutions - from external ETL tools to Excel with macros, but none of them provided a stable result. As a result, they decided to create their own tool that allows business users to control data as much as possible.

ETQL has a built-in dual validation mechanism: pre-configured checks based on typical errors from projects and custom rules that can be set manually, through the interface, based on the requirements of a specific company.

The service ensures the autonomy of working with data: users can independently configure rules, comparisons and checks without involving IT specialists. Thanks to the built-in validation, quality control is increased - errors are detected in advance, even before loading into the target system. And built-in templates and prompts make working with data adaptive and protected from typical errors, simplifying configuration and reducing the time spent preparing information.
