2020: The announcement of DRX-L - the detector for obtaining long x-rays
In the middle of August, 2020 the Carestream Health company provided the new detector for digital roentgenography. The device under the name DRX-L will allow to receive images of big length.
According to developers, DRX-L allows hospitals and the centers of visualization researches to receive long images on single exposure, providing a big field of the overview and high resolution. The new detector can be especially useful at inspection of legs and a backbone. In tell Carestream Health what thanks to single exposure of DRX-L reduces a dose of radiation and the general time of a research in comparison with traditional devices.
Besides, such approach minimizes pain and discomfort of the patient who should save immovability during inspection. It can become a serious problem for patients with limited mobility or for children with scoliosis which the progressive tense is difficult to remain on one place. Single exposure also minimizes need of repeated inspections and does not require additional processing of a set of images.
DRX-L also includes the corporate software of ImageView with the image processing application Eclipse. Besides, the detector includes technology X ‑ Factor Carestream which allows to use it with other compatible equipment of DRX.
The detector DRX-L can be used with the digital x-ray devices Carestream, such as DRX ‑ Evolution Plus/DRX ‑ Evolution, DRX ‑ Ascend, Q-Rad X ‑ ray and the digital x-ray DRX systems ‑ 1.
