2020: The announcement of Deleflex - solution for dialysis

At the end of October, 2020 the Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA) company provided solutions for peritoneal dialysis of Deleflex in new, almost wasteless packaging from the material Biofine. It is supposed that the first batches of new solution will be available to some American patients until the end of 2020.

The president of group of kidney therapy of FMCNA Mark Costanzo noted that the new line of solutions should make house peritoneal dialysis more available to patients with a renal failure both in the USA, and in other countries.

We are glad to present this innovation product which is designed to facilitate therapy in house conditions at the market, - Costanzo in the press release told.

According to the producer, FMCNA intends to expand production of solutions for peritoneal dialysis to cover the increasing number of patients with HSN which began to spend dialysis at home. Developers note that the design of packets was developed to provide convenient storage and use at home.

Fresenius provided new Deleflex solutions for dialysis at home

The material Biofine of which packets with dialysis solutions are made does not contain PVC and DEHP plasticizers. At the same time packets of Biofine are 60% thinner than alternative materials that allows to save raw materials and reduces the number of waste. Besides, Biofine decays when burning without selection of hydrochloric acid.

The CEO of international division of production, quality check and deliveries of Fresenius Medical Care Kent Wanzek noted that the company intends and to increase further production and distribution of Biofine at the plant and in the new distribution center of FMCNA in Knoxville (State of Tennessee).

We will be able to expand global production and sales of products, thereby having provided reliable deliveries for all patients who use peritoneal dialysis at home.[1]
