Dell PowerEdge M630 is a universal blade server, belongs to the thirteenth generation of the PowerEdge servers.

The blade server of PowerEdge M1000e and the general infrastructure of PowerEdge VRTX is intended for the body. The blade server of M630 provides exclusive scalability in different environments from suppliers of IT resources in service quality (XaaS) and the private cloud systems to remote offices and branches.

On September 17, 2014 the Dell company announced the Dell PowerEdge servers of the 13th generation. In this row a universal blade server of Dell PowerEdge M630.

Dell PowerEdge M630

The universality of M630 provides optimization of storage system on the server and input-output performance that allows to configure servers for today's workloads and to adapt them in process of change of requirements.

Considerable acceleration of input-output for applications: the optional PowerEdge (PERC) RAID controller with a capacity of 12 Gbytes allows to double capacity and a cache memory in comparison with devices of the previous generations and provides considerable acceleration of input-output operations for applications. With two Express Flash PCIe solid state drives the blade server of M630 allows to support applications with a large number of input-output operations, such as support of acceptance of business solutions or data analysis in real time.

Storage options within the server: with a broad range of the choice of disks it is possible to customize easily a storage system on the server according to the requirements. The blade server of M630 supports up to 4 1.8-inch solid state drives or to two 2.5-inch hard drives or Express Flash PCIe solid state drives.

Scalable universal network connections: ensuring quick access to data storage resources which are required for the server or a cloud — NAS or SAN — using the network adapters Dell Select Network Adapter. These modular net boards provide the choice of switching network, speed and the supplier that allows to define precisely requirements to capacity for workloads.

The server will support future requirements of data processing centers.

The universality, reliability and efficiency a blade server allow to execute the major business processes in future data processing centers.

Possibility of adaptation to the innovative solutions: readiness for satisfaction of future IT requirements using the innovative solutions, such as Fluid Cache for SAN. The technology of caching in storage system of the server allows the server to address quicker multimedia sources on the basis of SAN that allows to adapt to the growing requirements of services of a streaming video and audio quickly.

Reliability: support of workloads, crucial for business, with body opportunities with the general infrastructure - hot swap, standby units of a power supply and cooling, server opportunities, such as reserve built-in hypervisors, failsafe memory and several options of RAID.
