The producer of vacuum cleaners reported about it after the British authorities urged business to provide local bodies of health care with the necessary equipment for fight against Covid-19 coronavirus.
According to the Financial Times newspaper with reference to the statement of Dyson, the company received the purchase order of 10 thousand IVL devices from the government of Britain and will begin their delivery to the next weeks. Terms will depend on receiving approval from regulating authorities — Dyson expects "green light" on March 27, 2020.
The founder of Dyson James Dyson also said that he will make the investments in production of 5 thousand more ventilators from which 4 thousand will be offered to other countries.
It is very difficult project which is performed in extremely short terms. We connected to the project of all specialists, our medical and technology partners quickly to carry out a task. By March 26, 2020 8175 items of equipment for artificial ventilation of lungs are at the disposal of the British Ministry of Health. The authorities state that 60 thousand devices whereas twice smaller assessment was called before are necessary in total. It is difficult for country to fill this shortage as in the country not a lot of such equipment is made.
Dyson will develop ventilators from scratch. Professor Nick Oliver from business school of University of Edinburgh considers that better the authorities would focus on expansion of opportunities of the acting producers of such products which have fulfilled techniques.[1]
