2019: Isilon OneFS 8.2

On May 21, 2019 it became known that Dell Technologies released the next version of software of Isilon OneFS 8.2 which up to 75% improves scalability of a cluster – it may contain up to 252 nodes that provides capacity to 58 PB and the general capacity of 945 GB / with on klasterv. It allows the enterprises to reach quicker high business results with unprecedented simplicity of large-scale installations.

The software of Dell EMC Isilon OneFS 8.2 for May, 2019 is already available.

2015: Isilon OneFS 7.2

On March 5, 2015 EMC announced release of the version of OneFS 7.2 as the updated product for for support of Data Lake Foundation.

The OneFS 7.2 operating system supports more recent versions of protocols Hadoop, including HDFS 2.3 and HDFS 2.4 that considerably reduces time for receiving analysis results of information.

2013: Isilon OneFS 6.5

EMC Isilon OneFS 6.5 is the operating system which creates the single file system and uniform volume capacity more, than the 10th petabyte, includes a number of functional improvements of a corporate class, much more simplifies management of large volumes of data and increases efficiency of interaction of systems in a broad spectrum of typical transactions in DPC.

2012: Isilon OneFS 7.0 Mavericks

On May 25, 2012 EMC announced on EMC World that she prepares for release the new version of the OneFS operating system for the horizontally scalable EMC Isilon NAS systems, known 'Mavericks' code-named. Files with unstructured data are the most quickly growing component of corporate data processing centers today. For the best support of customers who face problems in work with this data type new levels of data protection, security, performance of systems and compatibility will be built in the new version of OneFS. 'Mavericks' is developed for what to extend the scalability and efficiency of storage systems of EMC Isilon which do not have analogs to different corporate applications and IT infrastructures.

The horizontally scalable Isilon NAS systems were installed long ago by standards of cures of problems of management of large and fast-growing environments of files and unstructured data in the organizations from the industries which are intensively using data, investigation of energy resources.
