OpenText LEAP

A system was developed by EMC company. After Dell absorbed EMC and sold a part of its assets. In September, 2016 OpenText signed the agreement with Dell EMC on purchase from the last of division of corporate content (Enterprise Content Division), including product families of Documentum, InfoArchive and Leap.

2016: EMC LEAP

On May 30, 2016 the EMC company submitted five cloud corporate applications EMC LEAP for comfortable interaction with content.

The EMC LEAP applications give abilities to manage content of the corporate level and also the most intuitive environment for the user.

The EMC LEAP family consists of proprietary applications of EMC and applications of third-party developer companies, the modular platform and unique shop which gives access to a set of services for work with content.

The EMC LEAP applications can work with any repository of content, but are created for more effective work together with Documentum product family. Independence of a repository allows to manage content in that type in what it is, without migrating on other platform.

Five EMC LEAP applications

LEAP Courier

LEAP Courier offers such method of support of business processes at which the structured exchange of documents outside perimeter of the company is possible. This tool with the user interface of a consumer class, provides the safe and structured exchange of documents, a possibility of a statement and tracking of processes. It is easily configured for different scenarios of use without additional programming.

LEAP Snap

LEAP Snap is corporate tools of digitization of documents for all business users with the simple interface. The system of recognition (Advanced Recognition) automatically digitizes, categorizes and sorts documents and also the related information in real time, turning unstructured content into ready digital business information. This solution allows users to create a working environment less than in 5 minutes. Includes service of design of templates which allows to start process of digitization without excess configuring or completion of the solution.

LEAP Concert

LEAP Concert allows to create a broad spectrum of different documents in the general, but accurately controlled environment. The organizations can configure or import working documents, at once having begun to separate tasks of the project. LEAP Concert supports an opportunity to identify and appoint works on documents and also allows to browse easily workflows in different sections, to approve changes and to complete tasks, improving the organization of work on the document. Project owners can protect the existing content, allowing users to change only separate sections which are appointed at issue of a task.

LEAP Express

LEAP Express is the lightweight application developed for simple viewing, access, search and the statement of any content – where it was. Supports different form factors for work, including the web client, tablets and mobile devices. The application uses such safety features as Touch ID. Independence of a specific repository provides the unified overview of all documents and tasks, excepting requirement of jumping between different private applications for work with content.

LEAP Focus

LEAP Focus improves quality of viewing documents on mobile devices. The program allows to read and estimate business documents, such as contracts or agreements, excepting need to increase separate parts of the document, replacing it with formatting with the choice of the type size relevant for the specific device. Thanks to it users should not browse repeatedly documents on the desktop systems.

Partnership with DocuSign company

In May, 2016 EMC also announced a pertnerstvo with the DocuSign company which is engaged in developments in the field of digital signatures (eSignature) and management of digital transactions (DTM – Digital Transaction Management).

LEAP Together: program of support of partners and customers

EMC started LEAP Together - the program of support of partners and customers.

For the existing customers of EMC offers the status Loyalty Tier providing free access to new family of the LEAP applications. This program was developed for a poobshchreniye of clients of EMC for their commitment to the products Documentum. All customers paying service of support immediately get access and begin to use the EMC LEAP applications, reserving the status Loyalty Tier. Clients will also be able to use the level of the client support given by the selected managers of LEAP Customer Success who help to make implementation in the customer's infrastructure.

EMC also expanded support of the partner network, starting SaaS Solution Provider Track service within the affiliate program of ECD Business Partner. Specialization of SaaS allows ECD to select partners with the corresponding advantages and requirements which are suitable for sales of solutions on the SaaS model. Partners have an opportunity to be engaged in sale of services. Additional opportunities of the affiliate program will be announced until the end of 2016.

LEAP Courier and LEAP Snap became available to a limited number of customers in May, 2016. The possibility of the order of a product will appear in June, 2016. LEAP Concert, LEAP Express and LEAP Focus will be available to the order in the second half of 2016. All solutions LEAP are available on a subscription with payment of the used resources. Thanks to the LEAP Together Program program and the status Loyalty Tier, the existing customers will get free access to equivalent applications.
