2019: Creation of the IT system for complex data analysis about reserves of hydrocarbons

On October 31, 2019 the SPbSU reported, together with Gazprom Neft created the IT system for complex data analysis about reserves of hydrocarbons "the ERA: Pro-asset". The cognitive algorithms implemented in the program allow to estimate quickly confirmed stocks and to predict development of the existing and appearing assets taking into account a set of factors. The program optimizes up to 90% of routine transactions at stock analysis.

Data on resource base of Gazprom Neft include results of thousands of researches since 1981: it is information on quantity of stocks, geological features of objects, physical and chemical properties of oil and gas. Assessment of such quantity of the current tasks given for the solution occupied a large number of working time.

"ERA: The pro-asset" provides optimization of resource base and formation of strategy of its development. The program includes constantly updated information on company assets. On the basis of the complex forecast of production and a current status of resource base of the enterprise the developed algorithms allow to create the balanced approach to completion of stocks, maintenance and increasing production of an asset in the long term.

Using this tool geologists, developers, economists, managers of mining companies or public institutions will be able to solve the problems. The developed tool can be adapted for any database, including nationwide.

Success of any project in the development area of the software is based both on professionalism of its participants, and on the competent choice of process and building tools. Together with specialists of Scientific and technological center of Gazprom Neft we managed to gather an effective team in the shortest possible time and to adjust process according to flexible methodology. I will note that creation of a system is the creative, creative work which became possible thanks to permanent open and constructive dialogue with partners. As a result we received a specialized IT system which visualizes large volumes of data in a user-friendly format, noted the senior teacher of department of system programming of SPbSU, project coordinator of group of development Marat Nemeshev

The project is implemented within the technology direction of AYR. The SPbSU acted as the partner in development of the software solution. The program and the corresponding trademark are registered by Federal Service for Intellectual Property.

We created the program which allows to see all volume of resource base of the company in dynamics at any moment. It is a big step on inventory management not only for our company, but also for the industry in general. Representatives of the profile ministries already saw our program and further will be able to apply these practices to creation of the similar platform in industry scales.
