Postgres Pro DBMS Version View

August 26, 2021 introduced the production control system "Galaxy AMM" on SUBDPostgres Pro.

The performance of the Galaxy AMM system under the Postgres Pro DBMS shows a high level and is not inferior to the performance on foreign databases. Tests of the domestic DBMS were carried out under high load for all key calculation operations, in particular, for the calculation of the production program and the picking of production orders.

The transition to preferential use of freely distributed and domestic software is relevant primarily for state corporations and defense industry enterprises. PDM Functionality Implementation

Galaxy Corporation on July 27, 2021 announced that the production control system "Galaxy AMM" implemented PDM functionality in terms of maintaining an archive and managing changes in design documentation (CD).

Enterprises have the opportunity to maintain design documents in the Galaxy AMM system in accordance with the product documentation package (drawings, lists, etc.), track and manage changes to the CD. Electronic drawings, part models, and products from CAD systems are also available in the system.

Now in "Galaxy AMM" in accordance with the design documentation you can get up-to-date data on the composition of the product, the technology of its production, up to the possibility of displaying specifications, drawings, models at the workplaces of performers in production.

This PDM functionality is especially relevant for enterprises that do not have their own design departments. For example, if KBs are external (third party) or are represented by individual legal entities within the holding company. In such cases, there is no need for the costs of implementing the classic PDM, but there is a need to maintain a CD archive, as well as track CD changes and communication with process documents, production.
