2021: The announcement of Gemini 12MP - the 12-megapixel monitor for mammographic researches

In the middle of February, 2021 the Minnesota company Double Black Imaging specializing in medical displays and monitors released the 12-megapixel color LCD display with LED illumination for mammographic researches. At the diagonal of 31 inch, Gemini 12MP it can be used instead of two separate 5-megapixel monitors which are everywhere used in a radiology.

According to developers, the LED DBI Gemini 12MP monitor differs in exclusively high brightness and contrast, and its possibility of automatic calibration provides stable diagnostic quality of images for many years of use. The display is delivered with the high-speed graphic controller for processing of tomographic images, and Double Black Imaging included in a set own complex software which CFS Client and the web manager for automatic calibration with local and remote administration via the Internet includes.

Gemini 12MP is the monitor for mammographic researches

Being the multimodal display, Gemini 12 MP can quickly switch between modes 6 and 12 of megapixels, in the best way corresponding to output characteristics of the used visualization method. At the same time two different mammographic or tomographic researches can be compared easily, using one screen.

According to the press release, clients will receive full control over settings of the display, including remote setup and calibration. The built-in visual tests will estimate images on compliance to criteria of DICOM and MQSA, and the exclusive tool kit will allow to increase performance without time expenditure. Besides, clients will receive email notifications for preventive maintenance of the workstation.[1]
